Boo to You, Dianne!
Welcome, and thanks for bringing a thoughtful question our way. I’m so excited to hear you’re going to be visiting the
Walt Disney World Resort this fall. It’s such a beautiful,
festive time of year and you’re going to adore the decorations along Main Street, U.S.A. with Mickey-shaped pumpkin wreaths and jack-o-lanterns on display! Like you, I have a knack for detailed planning and want to think through all the logistics of my special theme park days. I’m happy to help you understand what’s possible.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a special ticketed event at
Magic Kingdom Park that provides unique photo opportunities, trick-or-treating, special character greetings, and Halloween themed entertainment. When the party begins at 7:00 P.M. on those evenings, Guests without a party ticket are asked to exit the park, as you understand. There have not yet been any announcements about table service dining being offered during the party; in years past these reservations have been indicated as “Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Dining” with the restaurant availability during those times. I confirmed with a Cast Member that this means
you can reserve a regular table service restaurant that does not have this indication with a seating up until 7:00 P.M. After enjoying that dining experience, you will be asked to leave the Magic Kingdom since you don’t have an event ticket.
Even though you won’t be seeking party-specific dining, you can keep an eye out for these listings to indicate which other reservations you can make without a party ticket, Dianne. For example, in 2022 this was offered at
Cinderella’s Royal Table and
Be Our Guest, so you could reserve any other restaurant until the party time. I suggest you follow the
Disney Parks Blog closely for new announcements of any participating restaurants for party dining. Hopefully by the time you are ready to make your dining reservations (60 days before your arrival), you can confidently book your desired table service restaurant within Magic Kingdom Park up until 7:00 P.M. that evening. My favorite table service restaurant in Magic Kingdom is
Liberty Tree Tavern, and especially in the fall it can be reminiscent of a hearty Thanksgiving Day feast (don’t miss the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake)!
I hope this helps you know what to expect for your upcoming visit and eases your mind for planning a wonderful table service meal before leaving the theme park that day. Please let us know if you have any more questions as you plan this special vacation, we would love to help!
Enjoy your ghoulish delights!
Amy
