We are going to Magic Kingdom Feb 14. The park opens at 8 that day. Does this mean we can get on Main Street before 8? We do not have Early Entry.

Hey there, Roberta, and welcome to planDisney!

Valentine's Day at the Walt Disney World Resort sounds like the perfect once upon a dream. Of course, you want to get started bright and early to make the most of it. Early Theme Park Entry has its perks, a slightly slower morning at Magic Kingdom can sometimes be the way to go.

Even though the park will be open to all Guests at 8 AM, I'd still recommend arriving as if you plan to utilize Early Theme Park Entry. In my experience, Cast Members usually let Guests start filing in early, and while Disney Resort Hotel Guests are ushered towards the available lands, everyone else is steered towards Main Street, U.S.A. At 8 AM sharp, it will officially be rope drop, and you can head off to your favorite attraction, like Peter Pan's Flight or Space Mountain.

Pro-tip: While it can be fun to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of riding attractions and running this way and that, take this time to enjoy a mellow Disney moment. Stop into Main Street Bakery for a coffee and peruse the Emporium for a bit before the day officially kicks off.

Roberta, I hope I've been able to help you today. I know your vacation is fast approaching, but if you have any other questions, hurry back. I'm happy to help you discover a whole new world of possibilities!

    Happy planning!
    Taylor
