Hi, we are going to Magic Kingdom. My father is older, disabled and has limited mobility and he is really worried about having to walk a long distance from the parking lot to actually being able to get an ECV. Is there anything that helps?

    Hi Brittney,

Thanks for stopping by with another great Disney World planning question! I’m so glad to see you’re checking off those final details - departure day will be here before you know it!

When you arrive at the Transportation and Ticket Center parking lot, you can ask a Cast Member (either as you drive in or once you’ve parked) where to find a complimentary wheelchair. These are available on a first-come, first-served basis, but in my experience, we've always been able to obtain one when a member of our group needed extra support.

Once you make your way to the Ferryboat or Monorail, you’ll leave the courtesy wheelchair behind for a short walk to the park entrance. At Magic Kingdom, you’ll find the wheelchair and ECV rental location just to the right after you pass through the entrance gates (right next to the ticket windows).

I hope this helps make things a little easier for your arrival day. Let me know if you need anything else - we’re always happy to help at planDisney!

    Happy planning,
    Candace
