Hi all, I will be in Magic Kingdom with my family during winter break. I would be sure that I could parking near the MK park (no TTC) In case can I book the parking before? How much cost it? Thanks

    Hello Stefano!

Welcome to planDisney! I had a chance to visit during winter break last year and while it was very busy it was one of the loveliest holidays I ever had with my family! While I was disappointed that I missed a chance to experience Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, which ended a few days before my arrival, I found that Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade ran during the day for all guests only this week. It was such a pleasant surprise and an amazing parade to experience with my family. When you arrive make sure to check the event and parade times to see if you will get a chance to experience this as well!

Standard parking is complimentary for guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel for all the Theme Parks. If you wish to upgrade to Preferred Parking you would just have to pay the price difference. Preferred Parking spots are a bit closer to the entrances of the Parks. If you are not staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel then you will have to pay for a parking pass. You can't pay beforehand, unfortunately. Don't worry, there will be plenty of Cast Members at the parking lot entrances who will take your payment on the day you visit.

Here are the prices which are subject to change:
    • Preferred Parking for a car or motorcycle- $45 to $50 per day (this price varies by day).
    • Standard Parking for a car or motorcycle- $24 per day.
    • Oversized Vehicle Parking is if you wish to park a Shuttle, Limo, Camper Trailer, RV, Bus, or Tractor Trailer and it's only $30 per day.
Magic Kingdom Park is the one Theme Park where traveling from the parking lot has a few steps. Every other Park lets you park in the lot and you can just walk right up to the entrance. However, all guests will have to park in the Magic Kingdom Lot and head towards the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC). It is here that you decide if you wish to take the ferry or monorail into Magic Kingdom Park. On my last trip, this was the Park that I paid for Preferred Parking as it brought me very close to the TTC. After a long day of walking that extra convenience was worth all of the cost. My legs and feet were thankful.

Don't forget to pack some light layers to wear in the morning and evening. I was shocked at how chilly it became during those times and ended up buying new sweaters for my whole family that first morning. I do love my new sweater though which again makes the cost worth it.

I hope this helps and you have a wonderful time. If you have any questions feel free to let me know!

    Happy Planning!
