Hello Thomas! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Using Complimentary Resort Transportation during a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is one of my favorite
benefits of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel; another is the Extra Magic Hours.
Since they are both benefits offered to Walt Disney World Resort Guests, transportation is made available for Guests to enjoy said benefits.
Starting an hour before the Magic Kingdom opens for
Extra Magic Hours, Disney buses will begin transporting Guests from Disney's Coronado Springs Resort to the Main Ticket Gates at Magic Kingdom in preparation for Extra Magic Hours.
Using the monorail from
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is indirect, as all Resort buses drop Guests off close to the Main Ticket Gates and not the Ticket and Transportation Center where Guests who drive may park. If you choose to drive from Disney's Coronado Springs Resort and park at the Ticket and Transportation Center, your access to Magic Kingdom will be limited to waiting for the monorail or ferry boat to begin transporting Guests to the Main Ticket Gates at Magic Kingdom (roughly 30-45 minutes before park opening for Extra Magic Hours).
While at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, be sure to take advantage of the
excellent dining options including Cafe Rix, Las Ventanas, Maya Grill and the Pepper Market. In addition, Rix Lounge is an excellent late night option for a cocktail and adult unwinding.
Have a Great Morning!
~Todd
