We are going to Magic Kingdom in Disney world. My daughter is 4 years old and she only drinks whole milk. Can I bring some in my book bag with ice packs? The rules say no food that needs refrigeration can be brought into the theme park and no cooler.

    Hiya Susette!

Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your question. I bet you're already dreaming of that first magical stroll down Main Street, the sights, the sounds, and oh my goodness, the smell of sweet treats wafting from the Bakery.

As a fellow mom of little Mouseketeers, I totally get wanting to be prepared for the day, especially when it comes to keeping everyone happy and well-fed between attractions and character hugs. So, let’s jump into your question!

You’ll be happy to know that yes, you can bring a cooler into Magic Kingdom! According to the Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules, guests are welcome to bring coolers (with or without wheels) as long as they’re smaller than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (61 cm x 38 cm x 46 cm). Just a heads-up—loose or dry ice isn’t allowed, but reusable ice packs are totally good to go. You can even use an insulated backpack as your cooler if you prefer something more park-friendly.

Since we’re talking snacks, let me share a personal favorite: Kernel Kitchen, located right inside the Main Street Confectionery. It’s a super fun, build-your-own popcorn station with mix-ins and toppings galore—plus, it’s big enough to share with the whole family.

I hope this helps you prepare for a practically perfect day at the Magic Kingdom! If you have any more questions, feel free to stop by again.

    See ya real soon!
