Hi Mary and welcome to planDisney!
Can I let you into a little secret?
Disney Starlight - Dream The Night Away was the thing that I loved the most when I visited with my family, back in August and again, when I visited with some of my planDisney pals, in October. I cannot express to you just how amazing it is to watch - pure Disney magic!
Top Tip - Frontierland is my favourite place to watch the parade from. I find that it is a little quieter than other parts of the parade route and there are even a a few places where you can sit/which are under cover.
Mary, you are quite right in saying that there is a
Disney After Hours Event scheduled to take place at
Magic Kingdom Park on the day of your intended visit.
The regular
Park Hours for that day are shown as 9:00am - 9:00pm and the Disney After Hours Event takes place from 10:00pm to 1:00am so this should not impact your visit, at all.
According to the Park Hours section of the Walt Disney World website, at this moment in time,
Happily Ever After is scheduled to take place at 9:00pm, that evening.
Disney Starlight - Dream The Night Away typically takes place daily unless a special ticketed event, such as Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, is taking place but, as of right now, the schedule has only been released for dates up to and including 31st December 2025.
I would therefore recommend that you keep checking the Park Hours section of the Walt Disney World website over the coming days/weeks, to see if this has been updated to include the parade time(s), for Disney Starlight - Dream The Night Away, on the 12th January 2026.
I hope that this information has been of use, Mary and that you have a brilliant time at Walt Disney World, next month. In the meantime, if we can be of any other help with the planning of your trip, please feel free to re-visit us, here at planDisney.
Wishing you a magical holiday filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
Emma
