Hi Judy! Welcome to planDisney.
It sounds like you're planning a January visit to the Walt Disney World Resort - hurray! Celebrating a new year with a visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth sounds exactly perfect to me, and a great way to start 2022 with a pocket full of pixie dust.
I adore Magic Kingdom Park's holiday decorations! This year, they introduced some EARidescent holiday decor for
The World's Most Magical Celebration, and my very favorite touch is the pineapple motif on Main Street, U.S.A. We don't usually get an announcement about when the holiday decorations will come down around the theme parks and resorts; in my experience, it's usually the first or second week of January. In the past, the decorations stay up through
runDisney Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, but there are no guarantees that will be the case for 2022.
Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is my very favorite Disney parade, and it features my favorite characters - Santa's Reindeer. I could watch those adorable goofy deer dance through Magic Kingdom Park every day! I recommend keeping an eye on the
interactive Park Hours calendar for the most up-to-date entertainment schedule. Right now, it looks like the last showing of the Christmas parade is scheduled for December 31, 2021, but that is subject to change.
I hope this helps as you plan your visit this January, Judy! I like to read the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest news and updates, and they will begin to share about January offerings as we get closer to the new year. I'm not sure when you're planning your visit, but the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts kicks off on January 14, 2022, and it's a fabulous celebration of the performing, visual, and culinary arts. If you have any further questions, please come back and see us. Enjoy your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
Wishing you a great big beautiful tomorrow,
Robyn
