We are going to Magic Kingdom on December 24,2019 how are the crowds and is there any events going on?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Mayra!

How exciting that you will be visiting Magic Kingdom Park on Christmas Eve!  The holiday season at Walt Disney World Resort truly is "the most wonderful time of the year".  The halls are definitely decked with amazing decorations, there are holiday treats and goodies to be had, and there will be a full slate of holiday entertainment!

Although the full entertainment schedule for December 24 is not yet available, you can expect to enjoy Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade, A Frozen Holiday Wish, Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, and other holiday shows such as A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas and Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration.  Be sure to pick up a printed Times Guide when you arrive to see the schedule, or check showtimes in the My Disney Experience mobile app.

Mayra, I'll be honest with you - with all the wonderful holiday events happening, Walt Disney World Resort is a very popular place to celebrate and the weeks around the Christmas and New Year's holidays are among the busiest of the year.  My family has visited Magic Kingdom Park on these holidays, and while very busy, we found the festive atmosphere to be very enjoyable.  I took a quick look at the park hours for December 24, 2019, and found Magic Kingdom Park is currently scheduled to be open from 8:00 am to 12:00 midnight, with Extra Magic Hours for Disney Resort Hotel Guests beginning at 7:00 am.  My advice would be to plan to arrive as early as possible.  You will find lighter crowds and shorter lines for attractions first thing in the morning.  During the middle of the day when the park is busiest, plan to enjoy some of the holiday shows or less popular attractions.  Also plan to schedule your 3 FastPass+ attractions for late morning to early afternoon, and use the My Disney Experience mobile app or an in-park kiosk to schedule additional FastPass+ attractions (subject to availability) once you have redeemed your first three.

I hope that helps!  If you have additional questions or would like more recommendations, please feel free to visit the Moms Panel again anytime.  Happy Holidays!
