We will be at Magic Kingdom on Dec 24th and its my husband's birthday, can I order a cake and celebrate on the park area? The restaurants are packed and we wanted to sing happy birthday to him in the park. Any tips? Thank you!

    Hey there Karla,

You could certainly order a custom cake for your husband's special day by calling the Walt Disney World Cake Hotline at (407) 827-2253 they will be able to deliver the cake directly to your resort room provided that you are staying in a resort that offers in room dining.  You can also special order a cake from the Boardwalk Bakery at the Boardwalk Resort and that happens to be the only location that will allow you to pick up the cake rather than having it delivered.

All of that said, transporting the cake into the Magic Kingdom may be a bit of a challenge.  Have you considered cupcakes as an alternative?  You will be able to purchase beautiful cupcakes in all themes and flavors in different locations around the park, my favorite being The Main Street Bakery.  This way, you could select a single-serve cupcake for each member of the family without the hassle of having to arrange for a cake.

You could pick a really magical place to enjoy those special birthday cupcakes together as you all join to sing an extra special round of "Happy Birthday."  You could make the occasion even more memorable by presenting him with a few Mickey Balloons which can be found along Main Street!  Be sure to have this special moment captured by a PhotoPass photographer!

    Best Wishes,
