We will be at Magic Kingdom all day on New Years Eve. We have a dinner reservation in Downtown Disney at 6:00pm and plan to return to the park afterwards. Rather should we eat at the park to avoid not being let back in due to high crowds?

    Chris,

New Year's Eve is a really fun time to be at Magic Kingdom, but it will be REALLY crowded.  I think your instincts to stay put inside the park are right on.  It is very likely that Magic Kingdom will reach capacity.  Besides that, I'm fairly certain that all of Walt Disney World will be quite crowded.  That mean that traveling from one park to another or to Downtown Disney will take longer than usual.  Staying in the park and grabbing a counter service meal will be the best option.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation and a Happy New Year!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
