Hi Alecia, and welcome to planDisney!

You have asked a great question, and I have said many times before that Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort is one of our absolute favorite resorts at Walt Disney World Resort!

You can start the check-in process early via your My Disney Experience account. Using your My Disney Experience mobile app, select the three lines at the bottom right, select “Future Plans,” and complete the check-in process. Completing the check-in early will allow you to skip that step so that you can start enjoying the fun once you arrive. When you arrive, your space may not be ready, so park in the parking lot near the entrance, hop on the internal Disney Bus Transportation to the marina, and board the water taxi to take you to Magic Kingdom Park to enjoy your day.
