Hello Arlene! Let me be one of the first to wish your Disney Princess a very happy birthday from planDisney! You’ve selected a great Disney Park to visit on her special day! My wife and I took our twin sons to Magic Kingdom Park for their sixth birthday! They’ve forgotten the details of many of their birthday celebrations, but that day is one they still remember! And, I celebrated my 40th birthday at the same park!
Tickets for the Disney Parks are sold in two age groups. Those groups are 1) ages 3 to 9, and 2) ages 10 and above. Since you are arriving to Magic Kingdom Park on your daughter’s third birthday she would need a valid theme park ticket, as well as a
Disney Park Pass reservation, to enter the park. Guests will sometimes inquire as to whether they need to have a birth certificate to enter the park as well. Birth certificates are not required at the Disney Parks.
Arlene, here's a PRO TIP for you! You mentioned that you're not staying at a Disney Resort Hotel during your vacation. In the event that you change your mind and decide to stay on property, the age of a child is based upon the day they check-in for their resort reservation. So, if you check-in to your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel the day before your child's third birthday, she would not need a park ticket.
And, because it's your daughter's birthday, I'm going to throw in a few more PRO TIPS! The Walt Disney World Resort wants to make birthdays special for everyone – especially the littlest Mouseketeers! When you arrive at Magic Kingdom Park, you can go to
Guest Relations and request a complimentary birthday button!
We have fond memories of birthday meals at Magic Kingdom Park! My family took me to Be Our Guest Restaurant for my birthday celebration! My sons celebrated their birthday at
The Plaza Restaurant right on Main Street, U.S.A. If you visit a Disney Dining location while at Magic Kingdom Park, be sure to let them know your child is celebrating her birthday! The Cast Members always try to go the extra mile to celebrate a Guest’s birthday!
Happy Planning!
