On a Magic kingdom Christmas party day for 2022, can guests attending magic kingdom for the day (but not the Christmas party) still see the fireworks/projection show before they leave?

    Hi Angie!

I'm so happy to see that you'll be visiting Walt Disney World Resort during the holiday season! It's one of my favorite times of the year to explore the theme parks, Disney Resort hotels, and Disney Springs because the decorations are beautiful and the tasty treats throughout the resort area amazing. Plus, you'll be able to enjoy some awesome holiday entertainment during your visit!

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a special evening in Magic Kingdom where Guests can enjoy exclusive nighttime entertainment, special attraction overlays, and yummy holiday treats throughout the theme park. The party is a specially-ticketed event, which means that only Guests with tickets to that evening's party will be able to enjoy the party's exclusive entertainment, Character Experiences, and tasty treats once the party starts. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party begins at 7:00 p.m. and while Park Hours haven't yet been released for November and December, in past years, Magic Kingdom closes to Guests with standard theme park tickets about one hour in advance of the party.

So, unfortunately, you won't be able to enjoy Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks from inside Magic Kingdom if you don't have tickets to that evening's party, but several locations will still allow you to enjoy the nighttime spectacular from outside of Magic Kingdom. One of my favorite views is from California Grill, where you can enjoy an incredible meal and then view the fireworks from the rooftop of Disney's Contemporary Resort. You should also consider a private specialty cruise, which will allow you to watch the fireworks while sailing Seven Seas Lagoon on a private boat with your own captain, snacks, and soft drinks!

Angie, be sure to follow the Disney Parks Blog as you continue planning your trip to get the latest info about the holiday magic you'll be able to enjoy during your visit. Also, let us know if you have additional questions! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
