Well hello, Marijane, and welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you're getting ready to raise the roof and have a good time! Thanks for bringing your question to us about
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. This is one of my favorite experiences at Walt Disney World outside of the Disney Theme Parks, and I'm happy to help you get there from Magic Kingdom.
Once you exit Magic Kingdom, look for the
Resort Boat Launches. The one you need is straight ahead from the exit of the park. This launch is shared between
Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Fort Wilderness. Make sure you use the side dedicated to Fort Wilderness. After a short, relaxing boat ride across Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake, you'll arrive at your destination. I just love when the boat docks and the announcement is made, "All ashore that's going ashore." That's your cue to exit the boat. Then, walk a short distance straight ahead to Pioneer Hall, check in for the show and wait for the dinner bell to ring, signaling they're ready to begin seating. All that'll be left to do at that point is sit back, watch the show and enjoy the fried chicken and straw-strawberry-strawberry shortcake.
If you happen to arrive at Fort Wilderness early for your seating, I recommend heading over to
Crockett's Tavern, which is located in the building adjacent to Pioneer Hall. They have some delicious moonshine cocktails and small bites. Although, I don't recommend eating too much. You'll want to save room for the all-you-care-to-enjoy meal you'll be having later.
Marijane, I hope this has been helpful to you, and please say hi to the Pioneer Hall Players for me. Visit us again with any other planning questions you have.
Let your dreams guide you!
Melanie
