Boo to you, Jeana! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney today! It sounds like you're going to be visiting during spooky season and attending one of my favorite special, seasonal events,
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom Park! I love the atmosphere of this special event and the festive fall vibes and Mickey-shaped pumpkins that adorn Main Street, U.S.A. during this time of year! You're in for a frightful fun time!
Jeana, on nights when the Halloween party is hosted at Magic Kingdom, the park typically closes at 6 PM to Guests without a party ticket, and the party kicks off at 7 PM. Because of this, you will not be able to book an Individual Lightning Lane entry for
TRON Lightcycle/Run past park closing, even though you will be attending the party. During the party, this attraction is typically available to Guests through an additional 6 PM
Virtual Queue, and even if you secured a boarding group earlier in the day through a Virtual Queue, you will be eligible to try again for the 6 PM time slot, so you may get to enter the grid in daylight and again by moonlight!
I definitely recommend setting an alarm on your phone a few minutes before 6 PM so you don't forget to try to join, especially since riding this attraction at night is a priority for you! It's easy to get swept up in the fun of the party and lose track of time - this almost happened to me last year! I remember exiting Peter Pan's Flight and snagging a TRON Virtual Queue as I navigated the moving platform! The good news is I got a boarding group (thanks, Tink, for that extra pixie dust!) and I'm sending all the good vibes your way that you'll get one as well!
Jeana, while you're at the party, be sure to catch
Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade and the
Hocus Pocus Villain's Spelltacular in between trick or treating all over the park! And since you appreciate attractions in the dark, be sure to take a spin on
Space Mountain - during the Halloween party, the thrills go up as the lights go off! It's spirited fun in absolute darkness!
Jeana, I hope you have a magical night celebrating Halloween and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you get to enter the grid at night! If you have any other vacation planning questions, come on back and let us know!
Let's Boo This,
Alison
