We are going to Magic Kingdom on the 27th. Are we allowed to leave the park during the day & return later in the afternoon/evening to view the fireworks & play some more on our 1 day ticket?

    Hi Amy,

Absolutely!  In fact, I recommend leaving the park during the heat of the day.  Head back to your resort for a nap or swim just to unwind and recharge.  You can use your ticket to return to the park in the evening.

    One note of caution:

Summer can get really crowded in the Magic Kingdom.  Once the park has reached capacity, they stop letting guests in.  If it seems particularly crowded when you're there, check at Guest Relations before you leave to see if they anticipate reaching capacity.  If that happens, you won't be allowed back into the park.  I don't think you'll run into that situation, but if you do, at least you won't be caught off guard.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
