It’s a small world after all, Laura, and I’m so glad you found your way to
planDisney!
As a fellow
Magic Key holder, I was also wondering if I would be able to continue making Monthly Payments on my Magic Key as a California resident. I just completed my Magic Key renewal last week, and I’m happy to report that I was able to select the Monthly Payment option once again! So, as long as you are still a California resident living in ZIP codes 90000-96199, you should be eligible for monthly payments. Just like in the past, you’ll have 12 monthly payments with 0% APR as part of your Magic Key contract. This information is subject to change without notice, so it’s always a good idea to check the fine print when it’s your turn to renew!
Also, when you’re completing your renewal, keep in mind that your first monthly payment will take place on your renewal day. So, your monthly payments could overlap slightly if you’re still making your last payment for your previous Key.
If you’re within your 30-day renewal window, you can go ahead and navigate to
Disneyland.com/renew to begin the renewal process. You’ll be prompted to sign into your Disney account, and then you’ll be directed to the renewal page, which will say, “Renew Your Magic Key Pass” at the top of the page. There, you’ll be able to see the cost of each available Key, including the Monthly Payment option. Simply complete your transaction, and you’ll be on your way to another year of magic!
Laura, if you happen to be in the parks between now and September 2, 2022, I highly recommend stopping by Disney California Adventure Park for a royal photo opportunity exclusive to Magic Key holders! This photo spot includes a complimentary Disney PhotoPass digital photo download and magical extras, too. You can find it near Stage 17 between 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM daily. See ya’ real soon,
