With a magic key I can start at either park after 1pm, even if my reservation is selected only for one park?

Hello Valarie, and welcome to planDisney!

I'm so happy to hEAR you're part of the Disneyland Resort Magic Key program. You're in for an incredible year of memorable experiences. From exploring galaxies far, far away to touring a campus built for superheroes, you'll want to visit again and again.

Because your Magic Key includes Park Hopping, you are welcome to bibbidi bobbidi bounce from one theme park to another as many times as you like. You will need to FIRST enter the park where you DO have a reservation before hopping to the second park. It doesn't matter when you enter your reserved park, as long as you do it before you head to park number two. If I have a reservation for Disneyland Park but plan to arrive later in the day and want to spend most of my time at Disney California Adventure Park, I have to first scan my theme park ticket at Disneyland Park before entering Disney California Adventure Park, even if it's after 1:00.

I hope this makes sense and is helpful as you make plans going forward. Be sure to keep up with the Disney Parks Blog and follow us on social media so you don't miss any of the excitement in the Disneyland Resort theme parks and hotels during your first year in the Magic Key family. Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney, and we can't wait to welcome you home real soon!
