When will Magic Key sales resume for 2025? Last year they opened mid-January but there has been no announcements about them going back on sale for new passes this year. Are they going to go back on sale at all or is Disney moving away from them completely?

Hey there, hi there, Dawn! Welcome to planDisney. We are so glad you're here!

You've brought us a great question about Magic Keys and I am thrilled that I have an answer for you! It was just announced last week that all four Magic Key sales will resume on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. They are scheduled to go live on the website no earlier than 9 a.m. Pacific Time. Online queues will open no earlier than 8:45 a.m. Pacific Time. Horray! This is exciting news for so many Guests hoping to become Magic Key holders.

Be sure to take some time to go over the How To Guide so you will be prepared to enter the queue. I see that you may be a California resident. If so, I suggest that you make sure your address is updated to reflect that in your profile on your Disney account. This will allow you to choose between paying for your Magic Key in full or making a down payment and then splitting the remainder into 12 monthly payments.

Dawn, I can't wait for you to unlock even more magic at Disneyland Resort as a Magic Key holder. Be sure to make a reservation at Magic Key Terrace on an upcoming visit. I love to make a reservation just before dusk so I can catch a glimpse of the neon lights turning on over Cars Land. See you real soon!
