    My magic key is up for renewal in April but new passes become available in January. I would like a higher tier. Can I just purchase the new higher tier passes even if my existing passes are still valid? I don’t want to renew my existing plan.

    Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for submitting your question to us. I’m so excited about the upcoming Magic Key sale and am thrilled that you want to upgrade your Magic Key! 

    I spoke with a Cast Member and Peyton confirmed that you can upgrade your Magic Key this upcoming Wednesday - January 10, 2024! Since you wish to upgrade an existing Magic Key, you must present in person to a ticket booth outside Disneyland Resort. The Cast Members will be happy to help upgrade your Magic Key. I would recommend you get to the ticket booth early, as others will want to upgrade their Magic Keys, and quantities are limited!

    Have you reviewed the Magic Keys and decided which one you would like to upgrade to? If not, you can research the Magic Key options and compare the benefits - such as discounts - associated with each Magic Key. You can also compare block-out dates on the Magic Key Calendar to verify if future visits are available for your selected Magic Key! Finally, read through the Magic Key Terms & Conditions regarding theme park admission, park reservations, and other general information regarding Magic Keys!
