Hey howdy hey, Jean! You’ve got a friend in me at
planDisney!
One of my family members has been in the same boat as you with last-minute work issues that resulted in three “no-shows,” making him unable to make new park reservations for 30 days. So, I can relate to your issue since I help manage his
Magic Key account. This is a great question, and one that I asked a Cast Member for clarification on. According to the Cast Member I chatted with, the penalty state will continue with your
renewed Magic Key, so long as you’re still within the 30-day period noted in the email you received. If you need to double check the date from your email, I recommend searching for “Magic Key Pass Account Status,” since that was the subject line of the email I received for my family member. There, you’ll see the date that you’ll be able to start making new park reservations with your renewed Magic Key. If you have any additional questions about your account status, you can call the Magic Key holder phone line at (714) 781-7277.
If you happen to have any current park reservations you made prior to the penalty window, I highly recommend checking out some spooky Disney PhotoPass Magic Shot photo opportunities just for Magic Key holders. You can find a skeleton-themed Magic Shot in Disney California Adventure Park under Silly Symphony Swings, and a ghostly Magic Shot in Disneyland Park near Haunted Mansion Holiday. Both of these Magic Shots include a complimentary download just for Magic Key holders! Even if you’re unable to make it into the parks before the end of
Halloween Time, you can still enjoy some frightfully-fabulous fun participating in
Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit in Downtown Disney District! This special pumpkin hunt runs now through October 31, 2022, or while supplies last.
I hope this information helps, Jean! Please stop by with any additional questions… we’re all EARs!
Wishing you magic,
Kristin
