With magic key passes going on sale soon. I’m interested in the inspire pass. However, my family and I love going for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Are you able to pay the difference those days for a regular ticket since those days are blocked out?

    Hi, Vaneza!

Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for asking us your Disneyland Resort question. It sounds like you’re a seasoned theme park explorer looking to add even more magic to your days!

Vaneza, I’m not sure if you were able to purchase a pass while they were available this week. If so, congratulations on becoming a Magic Key holder! Yes, if you’d like to visit the theme parks during a blockout date for your pass type, you can always purchase a separate theme park ticket as long as there is theme park reservation availability. Spending New Year’s Eve surrounded by the magic of the resort and ushering in a new year with a dash of pixie dust sounds amazing! Although I haven’t done this myself yet, it’s definitely on my Disney bucket list.

I hope your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth is a dream come true, Vaneza! Please write back with any other questions you may have as your trip approaches.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
