If magic key passes are renewed or offered in 2024 will you still need to make a park reservation after January

Hello there, Jeffrey! Welcome to planDisney! We are so glad you've stopped by with your Magic Key question.

Whether you are already a Magic Key holder or have plans to be in the near future, there's so much magic to unlock being a Magic Key holder! While there is no new information yet on when Magic Keys will be available for Guests hoping to purchase a new pass, current Magic Key holders are able to renew when they are in their renewal window. I know my Walt Disney World friends are cheering for the news that they recently received about the reservation system changing. However, at Disneyland Resort there has been no announcement of the reservation system going away in the new year. The only change to the reservation system recently is that Magic Key holders can now book reservations up to 90 days in advance.

As a Magic Key holder myself, I love keeping an eye on the official Disneyland Magic Key Instagram account to see all the new offerings available to Magic Key holders. I also love taking advantage of the exclusive dining experience at the Magic Key Terrace. There are always some really great bites and I like to time my reservation for sunset so I can try to get a view of the neon lights turning on all throughout Cars Land.

Jeffrey, I hope this clears things up for you. If you have any other questions for us, please stop by again!

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mama and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. We love that we are close enough to Disneyland Resort to make a last-minute trip to see the Mouse quite frequently. You'll find us in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can fit in! I love helping my friends plan memorable trips to Disneyland Resort and can't wait to help you too! Learn More About Carrie
