Hey there, Jeremy! Welcome to planDisney. We are thrilled to have you drop by and ask us your question.
Recently the
Magic Key program opened back up for renewals only. In order to renew, you have to be in the 30-day window of your Magic Key expiring to renew from any of the available passes. However, Disneyland Resort does acknowledge that some Guests have children that have recently had a birthday and are old enough now to need a Magic Key pass. For those Magic Key families that now need a Magic Key for their child that recently turned 3 years old you will need to visit a ticket booth on property and the child will need to be present to purchase the pass. You will also need to bring proof of the child's age in order to make sure that they meet Disneyland Resort's guidelines. Proof of age can be a birth certificate, passport, or copy of either. I recommend reaching out to the
Magic Key Holder phone line to inquire what the current guidelines are for this.
I wanted to be sure that you knew that even if you are not yet in the window to renew, all Magic Key holders now are eligible for the new Magic Key program perks that were announced. If you will be in the parks for the spooky season, check out the
Disneyland Magic Key Instagram page where a few Magic Key exclusive merchandise and PhotoPass opportunities were just announced.
Jeremy, I hope this information helps your whole family become Magic Key holders. See you real soon!
