For Magic Key Imagine - is proof of residence asked when purchasing passes? And is it still accurate your year starts the first time you enter the park vs when the pass is purchased) and time limit to that first scan? We’re moving back to CA in May :)

Hello Jennie, welcome to planDisney!  How exciting that you're moving back to sunny California this year, welcome home!

At the current time, all sales of new Magic Key passes are paused, and only current Magic Key holders are able to renew their passes.  However, I'd love to provide you with the information you'll need if sales of new Magic Key passes do resume in the future!

For the Imagine Key, you will need to provide a government-issued photo ID with a valid address in ZIP codes 90000 to 93599.  Once you move back to California, I highly recommend heading to your local California Department of Motor Vehicles office to get your updated ID!

You are also correct that for a new Magic Key pass, the pass is activated for one year from the date of use of the first entry into Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park, or use of the parking benefit on the pass for a fully-paid first entry into one of the Disneyland Resort parking lots.

I hope this information is helpful for you Jennie, and your move is a smooth transition!  I highly recommend exploring the Disney Parks Blog for all of the latest news and happenings taking place at the Disneyland Resort for your future trips.  Please come back to planDisney if we can help with any other questions!

    Have a magical day,
    Melissa
