Happy holidays, Kasey, and welcome to planDisney! First of all, you are so sweet to gift the magic of the Disneyland Resort to your family members. What would be better than kicking off 2026 with time together at the Happiest Place on Earth?
Thanks to an upcoming special offer, California residents within ZIP codes 90000-96199 will be able to
save more than 50 percent on a 3-Day Park Hopper Ticket for visits between January 1 and May 21, 2026.
As a California resident, you can
purchase up to five of these tickets per day for yourself or other eligible residents. Sign in to your Disney account and purchase them
on the Disneyland website starting December 3, 2025. During the purchase process, you'll make park reservations and also assign a name to each ticket. After the transaction is completed, you should receive an email with the eTickets attached. Just remember that the recipients of these tickets will need to show a valid government-issued photo ID to prove eligible residency for admission.
These tickets don't have to be used on consecutive days, meaning visits can be spaced out if desired. I suggest planning at least one visit during the spring to experience the
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. It's one of my favorite annual events!
And don't worry if plans change for the group – you can easily
adjust theme park reservations, even after the tickets are purchased. How you handle the tickets depends on the preferences of you and your family. Would each person prefer to handle their own ticket? If so, you can print out the eTickets and distribute them accordingly. If some family members are not as familiar with the
Disneyland mobile app, and if you will all be together, it may be easier for one person (like you!) to have all the tickets linked in their app.
Earlier this year, my parents, my sister and her family, and my family all came together for three days of fun at the Disneyland Resort. We had a group of nine! My best advice is to talk in advance to learn each person's main priorities for attractions, shows, and food, and to consider that when planning each day. My dad, who doesn't visit the parks often, really wanted to see Galaxy's Edge because he's never been. We were sure to make time for that, and I can tell it meant a lot to him. And my sister, who has a toddler, wanted the kids to explore Mickey's Toontown (and get some wiggles out). It was really helpful for us to build in time for lots of breaks – riding around the park on the Disneyland Railroad is one of my favorite ways to rest!
Kasey, I hope you have a wonderful holiday season and that your special surprise delights your family. If you have any other questions about the Disneyland Resort or other Disney vacation destinations, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Kriss
