    I am a magic key holder where my pass will be expiring on September 18, however I am needing reservations for September 22-23 due to pre planned trip. When can I renew and will I have any troubles getting reservations for those dates being so close?

    Hey Brittany! 

    Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for your question! 

    Currently, Disneyland Resort Magic Keyholders may renew up to 30 days prior to their pass expiration date. This renewal may be done via the Disneyland Mobile App or on the Disneyland Resort website

    When renewing, you have the option to keep your current Disneyland Resort Magic Key tier or upgrade to a higher tier pass, if available. Currently, the only tier available for upgrade is the Inspire Key. The other Magic Keys are only available for renewals at this time. Plus, California residents do have the option to use Monthly Payments for Magic Key renewals. 

    If you choose to renew your Magic Key next month, you should be able to make Theme Park Reservations as soon as your renewal processes. I usually have no problem securing reservations that far in advance. But, if for some reason, your dates are unavailable, keep checking back! Guest’s plans change all of the time. You may be able to secure a reservation due to someone else’s last-minute cancellation.
