Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it’s off to
planDisney you go, Jo-Raye!
I’m so happy to hEAR that you were able to renew your
Magic Key recently! Get ready for another year filled with fun and adventure!
I recently renewed my Magic Key as well, and I had this exact same question when I completed my renewal, so I’d be happy to help. You shouldn’t have to wait until your current Magic Key expires in order to start making reservations for your new Key. Instead, you should be able to see both your current Magic Key and your new Key on the reservation page. I was able to see both of mine from the time I renewed my Key until it expired. You’ll just need to select which one you want to use in order to see the appropriate blockout calendar and make your reservations.
So, when using your
Disneyland app to make your next park reservation, here’s what you’ll want to do: First, select the “+” at the bottom of the navigation bar, and tap on “Make a Park Reservation.” Then, select “Make Park Reservations” and sign into your Disney account. Now, you should see both of your Magic Keys on the next screen, and have the ability to select your renewed Magic Key to make your next reservation, assuming it’s available and not blocked out for your particular Key. So, it’s possible to hold reservations for your current Magic Key and your renewed Magic Key at the same time during this transition period. After November 23, when your current Key expires, you’ll stop seeing it on the reservations page. I hope this helps, Jo-Raye! If you still aren’t able to see your new Key after checking the reservation page, you can call the Magic Key call center at (714) 781-7277 to chat with a Cast Member.
