Hi my magic key expires in Feb 2026 we currently have the believe key if we want to renew but get the inspire key is that possible?

Hi there, Kayla! I’m so excited to welcome you to planDisney! Questions like this are always fun because they usually mean more Disney days are on the horizon.

The great news is that yes, when your Magic Key renewal window opens (typically 30 days before your current pass expires), you can absolutely renew and move up from the Believe Key to the Inspire Key as long as the Inspire Key is available for sale at that time. Availability can change throughout the year, so while it can’t be guaranteed, upgrading during your renewal window is completely possible if that tier is being offered. And the great news is that, as of the time I’m writing this, the Inspire Key is still available!

You also have another option if you’d prefer not to wait. If you’d like to upgrade sooner to secure the Inspire Key while it’s available now, you can do so in person at a ticket booth during your next visit to the Disneyland Resort. Since your renewal window hasn’t opened just yet, upgrades outside that window must be completed in person rather than online. I actually did this exact thing a couple of years ago when upgrading my spouse’s pass from Believe to Inspire—it only took a few minutes, and he walked away from the ticket booth with a shiny new Inspire Key! Just keep in mind that the difference in cost is due at the time of upgrade, and if you’re currently on a monthly payment plan, that balance can’t be rolled into higher monthly payments—it does need to be paid when you upgrade.

If you’re weighing the perks, Kayla, the Inspire Key does come with some fantastic extras compared to the Believe Key. One of the biggest benefits is that standard parking is fully included at the Mickey & Friends and Pixar Pals Parking Structures, as well as the Toy Story Parking Area (excluding blockout dates), which can add up to big savings over time. Inspire Key holders also enjoy larger dining and merchandise discounts, making those snack stops and souvenir splurges even sweeter.

No matter when or how you decide to upgrade, I hope this helps you map out the option that works best for you, Kayla. Here’s to many magical visits ahead—whether you’re arriving bright and early, staying late, or simply enjoying all the extra perks that come with being a Magic Key holder. If you have more questions along the way, please don’t hesitate to stop by and see us again here at planDisney!

    Have a magical day!
