Hey there, hi there, Lisa! Welcome to planDisney. We are so glad you've stopped by with your Magic Key question for us.
From one Magic Key holder to another, hiya pal! I am sorry to hear your
Magic Key Pass happens to expire on a block-out date. That's a real bummer. Unfortunately, you cannot use the price of a ticket purchase to apply to the renewal of your Magic Key. Tickets may be upgraded to a Magic Key when purchasing a new Magic Key if the ticket is wholly unused or if you upgrade before the end of the day on the last day of use for the ticket, but currently, Magic Key sales are paused. If you do not renew your Magic Key by the expiration date, you will need to wait until Magic Key sales resume to purchase a Magic Key.
While your Magic Key may be blocked out for the
holidays in the parks, there is still so much to see and do beyond the parks at Disneyland Resort. I love visiting each Disneyland Resort Hotel lobby and grounds to see the decor. The
Disneyland Magic Key Instagram account also posted a fun holiday cookie crawl with lots of options outside of the parks.
Lisa, I know this isn't the answer you were hoping for but I hope that you still get to enjoy the holidays at Disneyland Resort this season. Please come back and visit us with any other questions you might have.
Carrie
