When will magic keep passes be for purchase?

    Hiya, Nicholas!

Thank you for sending this Disneyland Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR at planDisney!

To start this answer off, you are certainly not alone, Nicholas. I'm also one of the Mouseketeers who missed out on purchasing a Magic Key annual pass when they were available and I too have been wondering this question. (Not so patiently, and not so quietly.)

Sadly we as panelists haven't hEARd anything about new Magic Key pass sales either. The speculation I see around the Disney blog-o-sphere is maybe after the holidays, with no real reason other than we're currently in busy seasons so Mickey and his pals might be trying to get through that first. Again, that's just a rumEAR - oof, sorry about that one - rumor. Magic Key passes did recently become available again for renewals only, so that does give me some hope. However, if we look to Walt's other theme park in Orlando for any comparative info, they're kind of doing the same thing, too - passes are only available for renewals, not new sales, and they've been in that mode for a lot longer than the West Coast has.

I personally keep checking the Magic Key information pages on the Disneyland.com website, as well as the official Instagram accounts for the Disneyland Magic Key program, Disneyland Resort, as well as the Disney Parks Blog. If and when anything is released about new Key sales, those would be the three places to share the happy news. (But it might not also hurt to follow a Disneyland blogger or two.) And Pro Tip: Go ahead and familiarize yourself with the current level of Keys as well as the blockout calendar now so when new passes are up for grabs, you'll be ready to click submit on day one.

I'm so sorry that this wasn't the answer you were sEARching for, Nicholas, but I hope that it helped to clEAR up any backup questions you might have had. Be sure to follow the official planDisney Panel Instagram account where we're sharing all kinds of tips and tricks. We even just launched the brand new planDisney Podcast! And if you have any more Disneyland Resort or Magic Key questions, We're All Ears!
