What is magic hours? Would you recommend this to someone for the first time visiting? What is the cost to add magic hours?

    Hi Lisa,

The Extra Magic Hours are offered for the guests who are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort and would like to experience some extra hours (for resort guests only) to enjoy one of the theme parks when it may be less crowded and you can experience the attractions with a shorter wait time.  Just so you know, the Water Parks participate with Extra Magic Hours as well!  I do recommend taking advantage of this if you can.....especially seeing as it is a complimentary service being offered.  Each day one of the Disney Theme Parks opens an hour early or stays open up to three hours after regular Park closing.  There are a few off site hotels that offer this service as well for their guests and the Hilton in Lake Buena Vista is one of these!  How it works is that you will look at the calendar online at www.waltdisneyworld.com beforehand for the dates of your upcoming stay (these are usually available up to 6 months prior to your arrival) or you can wait and look at the "Times Guide" that will be provided to you when you check in at your resort.  This will state the days that offer the Extra Magic Hours, at which park as well as if it will be morning or evening hours offered.  For more detailed information about this service please see this link I am providing here.

    Best wishes,
    Brigitta
