Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kathryn!
Last year I was lucky enough to visit Walt Disney World Resort twice during “spooky season” – there is just so much to love about an
October visit! I can’t get enough of the
Mickey pumpkins in Magic Kingdom Park, the
Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, and this year we’ll have
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to add to the fall fun agenda. I’m so excited for you!
I’m really looking forward to gliding high above the theme parks and resorts on the
Disney Skyliner, which will open September 29, 2019. Not only will it be a great new transportation option, but, like
Disney Water Transportation, I see it almost as an added attraction. Between the adorable gondola designs and the relaxing and scenic ride, I think it’s going to be fun to ride in style between my Disney destinations.
At this time, we don’t know the operating hours for the Disney Skyliner, Kathryn. I’m hoping that the gondolas will run on a similar schedule to
Disney Bus Transportation, adding another way to get to the theme parks early, but we just don’t know yet. My advice is to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog as well as the
Disney Skyliner web page for updates. You can also check in with a Cast Member at Disney’s Pop Century Resort when you arrive to see if they have operating hours, as well as any tips to make the most of your ride.
Something to note is that, like Disney Water Transportation, the Disney Skyliner will not be able to operate under certain weather conditions. That’s why Disney Bus Transportation is always a great back-up plan when it comes to getting where you need to go. Buses will be running about 45 minutes before park opening (and perhaps more – stay tuned) on
extra, Extra Magic Hour mornings, so you do have that option.
Enjoy your stay at
Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Kathryn! I had a really delicious cupcake from the
Everything POP Shopping & Dining food court when I stayed there last year, so keep an eye on that bakery section, as the Disney pastry chefs really know how to mix pixie dust into their recipes.
Have the best time!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
