    What are magic hours

Welcome to the Moms Panel, Marvin! Thank you for stopping by with this great question about Extra Magic Hours!

I think of Extra Magic Hours as additional pixie dust granted to Guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels on-site, Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, Shades of Green® Resort, Disney Springs™ Resort Area Hotels and Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World® Resort.

This magical perk allows you extra time before or after the theme parks are open to the general public! Morning Extra Magic Hours grants you early entry to the Disney Parks one hour before the park officially opens. Evening Extra Magic Hours give you additional time in the parks at the end of the day. This means there will be fewer Guests lining up for rides and attractions.

My family enjoys taking advantage of the morning Extra Magic Hours before going back to our Resort for a splash-tastic afternoon in the pool. That said, the evening Extra Magic Hours are a fun way to experience some of the rides at night with less than normal wait times too!

Disney Mom Tip: Regular theme park hours and Extra Magic Hours are published well in advance. So, plan ahead by checking the Disney Theme Parks Calendars online, or via the My Disney Experience mobile app while on the go.

Wishing you a magical vacation at Walt Disney World Resort!
