Aloha Lerma, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great question.
I absolutely love starting my vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort with
Disney’s Magical Express service. There is something extra special when it comes to boarding one of those luxurious motor coaches because getting there is half the fun. I am sorry to hear that your flight could possibly be a less than magical experience for you and your family. But rest assured that your bags will eventually arrive at your Resort Hotel. Disney’s Magical Express Service runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. So no matter when you or your luggage arrive at Orlando International Airport, it will be picked up and delivered to you as soon as the luggage delivery service has access to it.
Here are a few tips that will hopefully put you at ease. Before you check your bags with your airline at your original point of departure, make sure you have tagged each bag with the yellow luggage tag that you will receive in the mail from Disney’s Magical Express. Once you have checked your bags, keep your bag claim tickets in a safe place. I make it a habit to snap a picture of them with my smartphone. When you check-in with the Cast Member at the Magical Express Welcome Center, they can also make note of your claim tickets in case you have more bags than yellow luggage tags. You may also want to pack a few extra items in your carry on luggage, along with your MagicBands, just in case your bags do not arrive before bedtime. Keep in mind that your luggage can take up to three hours to be delivered to your room if it arrives on the same flight that you do. Bell Services will not deliver bags after a certain hour, so you may want to call them and let them know you want your bags as soon as they arrive instead of first thing in the morning.
See ya real soon,
Andrea
