If you have a MagicBand+, you should definitely add it to your packing list for your time aboard the
Disney Magic. On a
Disney Cruise Line ship, it
automagically transforms into a
DisneyBand+. Much like using them at
Walt Disney World, it will unlock your stateroom door and charge purchases to your account on the ship, as well as at some shops on Castaway Cay. These bands also dazzle and add some extra fun during fireworks, deck parties and some stage shows. They have other benefits, too. A big one: they are waterproof. Gone are the days of stashing my kids' lanyards to wade in the pool or enjoy the slides. They also eliminate the need to take lanyards off for photos. A DisneyBand+ is an accessory, and practically perfect in photos!
Just be sure to have it handy when you arrive at the port, along with all your
required travel documents. The Cast Member who checks you in will link it to your account, so you are all set to go. When your boarding group is called, you can scan in with your band and get ready for that magical "Welcome Aboard" moment!
