Hey there, Camie. Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!
I think you'll be happy to know that you can absolutely reuse your
MagicBands from previous trips. To make sure they are activated for your trip, log into your
MyDisneyExperience account. Select the "My MagicBands and Cards" option. Then you'll see all of the people that you are linked to via the friends and family list. You can select the person you want to double-check to see if their MagicBand from a previous trip is still activated. Once you click on a person's name, it will bring up a list of every MagicBand and card and show you the options available to you. If the MagicBand you are wanting to use is listed as "Active", you are good to go. If not, all you have to do is select the "Activate" button and your MagicBand will essentially be turned back on.
If you don't want to use a MagicBand or aren't able to find your older ones, you can always use a Keys To The World card instead. To get a card that will unlock your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel room door and scan you into the Walt Disney World Theme Parks you can visit the front desk upon arrival and you'll be able to get a complimentary card there. If you find yourself in the mood for a new MagicBand, you'll find them for sale at almost every shop located at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks and Resort Hotels. They are actually some really cute designs out right now so be sure to take a look!
Camie, if this is your first time visiting Walt Disney World in a few years I hope you've planned to spend some time at Disney's Hollywood Studios. It has changed a lot in 4 years and I think you'd really enjoy it. In fact, there are actually two whole new lands to enjoy!
Toy Story Land opened in 2018 and then
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opened in 2019. Both lands feature some really great attractions, picture opportunities and food. Also, another new attraction that has recently opened at Disney's Hollywood Studios is
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway. It's made its way to my most favorite attraction spot at Walt Disney World. It's darling and I hope you'll get to experience it while you are at Walt Disney World.
Camie, I'm glad you asked about reusing your MagicBand for your next Walt Disney World vacation. If you have any other questions before your trip, I'm happy to help.
Have fun!
