Will my magic bands from 2 or 3 years ago still work?

Hello Theresa and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Oh how I do enjoy using MagicBands during my own much anticipated trips to Walt Disney World Resort!  MagicBands make for such great souvenirs too, in fact I have a whole chain of them linked-up together and hung in my kitchen and they make me smile each time I pass by.
From my own personal experience I've successfully re-used MagicBands from trips of well over a year of more ago.  However I had to wait until Resort Check-in or a quick visit to Guest Relations to truly know if my MagicBand was still active.
It may be helpful to know Guests can manage their MagicBands via My Disney Experience where it's possible to activate or deactivate MagicBands, report a MagicBand as lost, plus of course customise MagicBands prior to arrival at Walt Disney World Resort.
Wishing you an extra pixie dusted upcoming visit to the magic of Walt Disney World Resort
    Have a great Disney day.
