Welcome to planDisney, Jamie!
Let me first begin by congratulating you on your
dining plan selection. My family absolutely loves visiting with a dining plan! We are a family who truly enjoys dining, snacking, and trying all the seasonal offerings, especially if they are Mickey-shaped.
You’ve come to the right spot and the right person. I am the planner and unofficial dining credit holder of the family. That just means I’m the one keeping track of our used and unused credits and encouraging my family to use their snack credit when they need to. Now to answer your question, any MagicBand linked to the reservation can technically be used to complete those transactions; you’ll just need to tap and enter the PIN you’ve set up under your
online check-in.
We usually just use my MagicBand when making any dining purchases. Your dining credits will all be bundled together and can be tracked on your
My Disney Experience mobile app under your reservation, so it’s up to you to keep track of who spent what. We usually end up sharing our meals and snacks, so we don’t keep our credits tracked exactly, but when we do, I just make a note of it in my notes app on my phone. During our meal times is when I give a family dining update. I open the app, do the math in my head, with the help of my notes, and remind everyone of what entitlements they have left. Honestly, my kids are so amazed at their surroundings, they forget to snack and eat, so I find that I am constantly reminding them of their remaining snack credits.
Jamie, I hope this helps answer your question. While you won’t be able to keep everyone's credits separate, you can constantly check to see how many are remaining so that you can help manage everyone's credits. I can’t wait for you to enjoy everything Walt Disney World has to offer, and if you are looking to add any dining reservations, now is the time to check out all of the available
dining locations.Enjoy and have a delicious trip,
Shantel
