It sounds like you are getting ready for a magical Walt Disney World vacation! Get out those mouse ears and let the countdown begin!
I am sorry to say that all of the "pixie dust" is probably gone from your 2014 MagicBands. The battery in the bands has about a 2-year lifespan, so chances are those MagicBands, while a fun keepsake, probably will not work.
You have a few options! The most fun option is to buy the new
MagicBand+ that became available this year. These bands are rechargeable, and have some fun interactive lights and vibrations when activated around the park. And, of course, there are plenty of adorable designs to choose from!
The traditional MagicBands are still available for purchase but remember these will have about a 2-year timeframe that they will have battery power.
Another option? Use
Disney MagicMobile Service on your phone. With it, your phone works just like your MagicBand. I even use MagicMobile on my Apple Watch which is super handy.
To link your theme park tickets, go to your My Disney Experience account where you can
link your tickets. Remember that each guest must have a valid
theme park ticket as well as a
Theme Park Reservation to enter any park.
