Hi Alicia! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm excited to hear about your upcoming trip to the
Walt Disney World Resort! Having a chance to experience the magic of Disney with your little one will be a memory that will last a lifetime. Let's jump right into your question and help you plan an unforgettable vacation.
With the added features that a
Disney Band brings, it allows for a more interactive experience when exploring the parks. There will be times at certain attractions when the band will light up, or even begin vibrating during a fireworks display. Plus, there is no shortage of designs. If you're looking for one themed after your favorite character, attraction, movie, or Disney park, there will be one for you.
After confirming with a Cast Member, you will have the option to link a Disney Band to your 2-year-old child. It will work exactly the same as it normally would for any Guest. They'll get to experience the fun features that it comes along with. Since they will not require a park ticket, your child will unfortunately not be able to scan into the parks with their band. Also, the band does adjust for a small wrist, however, depending on the child, they may not love keeping it on. We ran into this problem when my daughter was younger. We ended up having to hold on to it for most of the day because she kept taking it off. She wasn't used to wearing anything like that for the day.
Another option is to
link the band to a different member of your party. This way, if your child does not like wearing it, the other Guest can now utilize it as another Disney Band for themselves. Once you link a Disney Band to a Guest, it cannot be transferred to another Guest. This is just a thought in case you're still unsure about linking it to your 2-year-old.
Alicia, I hope this information helps you plan for your stay!
