My magic bands wont link to my disney app. I have been on hold for over an hour. Do you have any idea how i can do this? Thanks!

    Hi, Eric! Welcome to planDisney!

Oh, no! I'm so sorry you've been having trouble linking your MagicBands, Eric. That won't do at all, will it? Let's see if we can get things back on track so you can focus on the really important stuff - like what you're going to ride first when you get to the Walt Disney World Resort this weekend!

Sometimes I've found that if something doesn't work on the My Disney Experience mobile app, you might have better luck on your computer. Head on over to the Walt Disney World website on your desktop or laptop computer, and click on the blue sign-in prompt just above the menu bar. Once you're in, roll your cursor over the "My Disney Experience" logo below the search box and select "My Magic Bands and Cards" from the drop-down menu. Then scroll down to "Manage MagicBands or Cards" to see if somehow your bands were actually accepted one of the times you tried to link them - because technology is weird, you know?

If you confirm that they're not there, you'll see a blue box at the bottom of this page that says "Link." You can try again to link your MagicBands here. Hopefully, the computer will be less persnickety than the app!

Now, if you've tried all of this to no avail, then you will need to speak to someone in Guest Relations, but you don't necessarily have to wait on hold. I really like using the chat feature in the My Disney Experience mobile app. You find it by clicking on the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner of your phone, then on the "Chat With Us" tile. You can type in your message and get an alert when a Cast Member is available to chat with you. It may still take some time, but at least you can go about your day without sitting on hold when the lines are very busy.

There's one other option you might consider. When you arrive at Walt Disney World, a Cast Member at your Disney Resorts Collection hotel front desk or the Guest Relations windows at the theme park entrances can always link your MagicBands for you in person.

Eric, I really hope this helps you get those MagicBands all linked up so you're ready for your magical vacation. And if you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to stop by and see us again!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
