    If we have magic bands and my wife has her phone with My Disney on it do I also have to bring my phone? We haven't decided about Genie+ or Lightening Lane yet. If we get these can everything be done on her phone?

    Isn't planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation so much fun? I always have such a blast thinking about all the incredible restaurants I'll eat at, and the thrilling attractions I'll get to enjoy on my next visit. There are so many resources to explore to get you pumped up for your visit, including Disney Parks Blog, where you'll find the latest updates on what's new and exciting at Walt Disney World. I definitely recommend checking it out! In the meantime, I'm so happy to be able to answer your question today!

    My Disney Experience is an incredible tool to help you can make the most of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Even if you don't plan to use Disney Genie+ Service, you can use My Disney Experience to get around using the interactive map, make mobile food orders, check wait times for all the attractions in the theme parks, and so much more. Luckily, as long as one member of your party has a mobile device to access My Disney Experience, you can definitely leave your cell phone behind! One less thing to carry, right, William? You will be able to do everything you need from your wife's phone, including making any Lightning Lane reservations if you choose to purchase Disney Genie+ Service. You will just have to use your Magic Band to enter the parks each day and scan into the attractions if you've got a Lightning Lane reservation.

    One important thing to note, William, is that you will want to make sure you are linked to your wife's My Disney Experience app before you leave. To check this, have her log into her My Disney Experience app and open the menu on the bottom right corner. From there, scroll down to select "My Profile" and toggle over to "Family & Friends List." If your profile is listed there, you are all set! If not, you'll want to make sure you get linked up following these steps:

    • First, log into your My Disney Experience app.
    • Click on the menu on the bottom right corner, and scroll down to "My Profile."
    • Scroll down to "Show My Linking Code," and write down the manual code (written out under the QR code).
    • Then, have your wife log into her My Disney Experience app and navigate over to "My Profile."
    • Toggle over to "Family & Friends List" and scroll down to select "Add Guest."
    • Then, select "Scan Linking Code" and click on "Manually Enter a Code" written in blue.
    • Type in your code, and you are all set!

    Please do keep in mind that the manual linking code is only valid for 30 minutes, so you'll need to complete these steps within that timeframe or start over.
