Hi, we have magic bands from WDW from 11/22,can they be used at Disneyland? one is a Magic band +.When will I be able to make dining reservations for 09/11/2023? Also, how much is the Photo Pass? Will 1 day at each park be enough? Thank you,Janice

Hey there, Janice! Hiya pal! Thanks so much for stopping by again to ask us another great question about your upcoming visit to Disneyland Resort.

When you visit Disneyland Resort in 2023, you will be able to use your MagicBand+ from Walt Disney World. Hooray! MagicBand+ made its debut at Disneyland Resort in October 2022. Previous versions of MagicBand are not supported. You can connect this band to your Disney account through the Disneyland app and then to a specific ticket. Once connected you can use it to scan into the parks, scan into your Lightning Lane, bounty hunt in Batuu, and connect your PhotoPass photos to your Disney account.

Speaking of PhotoPass, I always recommend purchasing Disney Genie+ service because at Disneyland Resort unlimited digital downloads of your PhotoPass photos are included with all the other fabulous perks of Disney Genie+. This means you'll be able to snap plenty of photos with the PhotoPass Photographers as you zip from one attraction to another redeeming your Lightning Lanes. You can add Disney Genie+ to your tickets at the time of purchase which I definitely recommend. Otherwise, you will need to wait until you've scanned into the park on the day of your visit to make the purchase. The purchase price does fluctuate depending on the day if you wait until the day of.

Dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance. There is also the mobile walk-up list available at select participating locations throughout both parks, which I use quite often. There are also so many great quick service locations as well. I love grabbing a skewer or two over at Bengal Barbecue and then heading across the path to The Tropical Hideaway for some DOLE Whip for dessert. However you choose to dine, Disneyland Resort has you covered!

Deciding how many days at each park really varies so much depending on the Guest/party and what you are hoping to accomplish. I definitely recommend at least a day at each park, but ideally, a 3-day Park Hopper is my general suggestion overall. This gives you one day at each park, plus an extra day to fit in whatever else you didn't get a chance to. Park Hopper really is the way to go at Disneyland since the parks are so close together and again helps knock out all those must-dos! If two days is all you have time for, you certainly will be able to fit in a lot, especially if you have Disney Genie+. You won't be able to fit in everything, but it gives you the excuse to visit again!

Janice, thanks again for visiting planDisney. You know where to find us for any other questions you have about your upcoming visit to The Happiest Place on Earth!
