A big Space Ranger welcome to you, Denise, and in true Toy Story style, let's see if your MagicBand will last from infinity and beyond on your next
Walt Disney World Resort visit.
If you have a
MagicBand 2 that doesn't plug in to recharge, I'm happy to tell you that the odds are good it will work as smoothly as Slinky Dog marching downstairs. I spoke to a friendly Cast Member who said those bands could work for up to five years, depending on usage. He cautioned that some features might lose effectiveness over time and not automatically link attraction photos to your
My Disney Experience Mobile App. Still, at two years, your bands should be fine to open your Disney Resort Hotel door and scan in at the theme parks.
I recommend bringing those bands with you next spring, but if the road starts to look rough ahead and they're not functioning correctly, you can purchase a new rechargeable
MagicBand+ at your resort and many gift shops. You'd link it to your account with the serial number found on the band and its packaging.
Another option is
Disney MagicMobile Service, which transforms your mobile phone into your room key, theme park ticket, and more. I still like the ease of having a MagicBand on my wrist, but many guests enjoy using their phones.
Although we don't have details for the 2024
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, it's typically in full bloom during April. If you enjoy science, you'll love Butterfly Landing. This walk-thru exhibit offers fun and interesting facts about butterflies and plants. I was delighted when a few colorfully-winged cuties perched on my shoulder last year!
Denise, I'm waving my magic wand so your visit next spring will be magical and glitch-free.
Stop by planDisney anytime because you've got a friend in me!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
