Hello there Nicole, thanks for bringing another great question back to planDisney!
It is so convenient to use your
MagicBand+ at the Disneyland Resort for entrance into both theme parks, and to scan your
Lightning Lane selections. It's also fun to see it light up in bright colors and sync to the nighttime spectaculars!
It sounds like you already have your MagicBand+ paired in the
Disneyland app, which is a great start! You should be able to see the
battery status in the Disneyland app when you tap on your specific band, but you also can press the button on the back of the band, and it will light up in a color to indicate the battery status. If it's flashing red, that indicates no battery life, and you should charge your MagicBand+ as soon as you can! If it is flashing yellow, that indicates low battery, and if it's flashing green, that indicates high battery. I always like to charge our bands overnight the day before we visit the parks so I know they'll be fully charged!
Even if your MagicBand+ battery is low or depleted, the good news is that you will still be able to use it for entrance into the parks (make sure you have a corresponding theme park reservation for your ticket), redeeming Lightning Lane selections, and for
Disney PhotoPass service. When a Disney PhotoPass photographer taps my MagicBand+ after taking some fun and creative photos, I have found that the photos appear in the app almost immediately!
Nicole, if you're still having issues with your MagicBand+, you can always reach out to a helpful Cast Member on the
App & Online Support line. If you have any other questions during or after your trip, don't hesitate to come back and ask!
Have a magical day!
Melissa
