I have Magic bands that I have used for years. Now I don't see them listed with my name on my reservation. Where are they?

    Greetings Mary welcome to planDisney!

Those old MagicBands do become like old friends, don’t they! They seem to always be there when we need them, until they are not!  Mary, let’s try to find your old friends.

Go to your My Disney Experience account. On the My Disney Experience drop-down menu, click My MagicBands & Cards. Scroll down to Manage Disney Bands or Cards and confirm that the band you want to use shows up as active and that it is linked and assigned to you. If that old friend is active and linked, you are all set!

The older MagicBands do start to lose their battery power as they age. When I arrive at my resort, I usually check in at the front desk to make sure my older MagicBand is connected to my room to avoid having to walk back down later if there is an issue.

Mary, you can always upgrade to a MagicBand+ that has a rechargeable battery and has quite a few more bells and whistles! I currently have the Amazing Spider-Man on my wrist web slinging me around the parks for a truly connected experience!

If your MagicBand for some reason does not open the door of your room, you can unlock your door with the My Disney Experience app. This Unlock Door feature is available at all Disney Resort hotels. Simply use the My Disney Experience app on your mobile device to unlock the door to your room and other common area doors or gates!

Mary, have a great trip and enjoy a Mickey Bar or two!
