Do you get magic bands at Shades of Green?

Hello, Betty, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Shades of Green is my family’s home-away-from-home when we’re at Walt Disney World Resort, so I’m happy to answer this question for you.

While complimentary MagicBands are not included with your Shades of Green stay, you can still purchase them (through or any of the shops at Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks, Water Parks, hotels or Disney Springs) and link your tickets (including the Military Promotional Tickets) to them. My family really enjoys the convenience of having our Park tickets and FastPass+ reservations linked to our MagicBands, and with our Memory Maker, our MagicBands also allow us to receive “extra” photos and videos for attractions such as Slinky Dog Dash at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom Park.

You won’t be able to charge purchases to your room or have access to a Disney Dining Plan as a Shades of Green Guest, but you do qualify for Extra Magic Hours and you’re also able to book your FastPass+ experiences up to 60 days in advance when you link your Shades of Green reservation to your My Disney Experience account. And although you won’t have complimentary access to and from the airport via Disney’s Magical Express as a Shades of Green Guest, you will be able to use Shades of Green’s dedicated fleet of buses for complimentary transportation to and from each of the Theme Parks, Water Parks and Disney Springs.

Please let us know if there are any other questions we can answer for you, Betty! We’re always happy to help.
