    We have magic bands from our sept 2013 trip. My husband and I want a new color each but the kids are fine with their old ones. Can I just order 2 new ones and have the kids use their old ones for our trip this November 2014? Thanks for your help!

    Hi Stephanie!

         Yes, you can use your MagicBands from a previous Walt Disney World vacation for your next Walt Disney World vacation as long as they are active in your My Disney Experience. The battery inside the MagicBand is supposed to last for up to two years so you can use your MagicBand for more than one Walt Disney World vacation. You can have more than one MagicBand active on your My Disney Experience account (I currently have six MagicBands active on My Disney Experience account and my Annual Pass is linked to each one of them so that I can use any of my MagicBands to enter a park in Walt Disney World or open the door to my Walt Disney World Resort room). So your children can use their previous MagicBands if they wish or they can get another MagicBand (they can use both and choose what color they want to wear each day). You also can receive new MagicBands for your November 2014 Walt Disney World vacation if you wish.  Currently when you customize your MagicBands when you are staying at Walt Disney World Resort there is not an option to opt out of receiving MagicBands for some of your party and not others (you would have to get new MagicBands for your entire traveling party).  Keep in mind that this may change in the future as Disney further refines My Magic+.
